ABIGAIL JAYE has had a long and successful career in Musical Theatre, TV and Radio, but is best known for her critically acclaimed role as Eva Peron in Evita for Bill Kenwright.
Her previous roles include Mrs Lyons in the West End cast of Blood Brothers, Isabel in Scrooge at the London Palladium West End, Narrator in Joseph West End, Jennyanydots and Grizabella in Cats UK Tour, Shaindel in Fiddler on the Roof at Chichester Festival Theatre, Magenta in Rocky Horror UK tour, Eva Peron in Evita UK and International Tour, Helen Miller in Glenn Miller Story with Tommy Steele and Emma Fairfax in Doctor Dolittle UK Tour.
She can be heard on the West End, Joseph and London Palladium, Scrooge cast recordings and duetted on Martin Dickinson’s album “Encore”, recorded at Abbey Road Studios. She performs every year as part of the duo “The Battle Prom Belles” at The Battle Proms in venues such as Blenheim Palace and Highclere House. She has been featured as guest soloist on two of Rhydian Roberts UK tours. Abigail performs regularly at concerts and events across the UK.
Abigail has also performed on many television shows including This Morning, Blue Peter, Dancing with the Stars and as Lois Garvey in Hollyoaks for Channel 4. She has appeared numerous times as guest artist for BBC Radio 2’s “Friday Night is Music Night”.
I have a Vocalbooth silver series for recording at home. I also have a small open studio set up for a more acoustic recordings. I use a Rode NT1-A mic with Focusrite audio interface. I also have a full PA for live recordings and gigs outside the studio.
Q: Are there any genres or styles of music you would like to explore in the future?
A: I am very open to explore any genre. I have a very eclectic taste in music and very much enjoy being introduced to new artists.
